The unique bright red gasket borrows from industries which require air-tight seals in the harshest of environments and tests to a life expectancy of more than 5X the carbon filled rubber or Buna-N materials. The 252 gasket mates with a new compression head design allowing the user to tighten the gasket fit by nearly 200% with a simple twist of the cap. In tests with a major disc wheel manufacturer, the SILCA Disc Adapter literally blew away the field by posting a blow-off pressure of 393 psi, more than 3X the pressure achieved by any competing design.

In terms of function, this pump head is fantastic for the price. However, it does not fit onto any Schrader pump head as claimed. The threaded side of this adapter has a 4mm hex fitting. In Schrader heads with certain internal fittings for depressing the pin on Schrader valves (see photo). One prime example of this is the hose fitted on the Bosch EasyPump, a cordless inflator primed to be the replacement to the longstanding Craftsman inflators seen in CX pits.
I wanted to get this chuck because it looks cool in black. Just as good as the standard chuck. Works better than anything else in the market.
I haven’t had the chance to use this one that I ordered yet, but have used other peoples Silca disc wheel adaptors in the past. As with all Silca products I that I own I suspect this one will work great.
Took a while to break in, but after about 10 uses works everytime! The first couple uses it would not stay on the valve.
